Sometimes we are buried by mistakes and misunderstandings. The most obvious example of how that happens is when we believe that other people do things TO US. The more we focus on "those" people and the events we think are dumped on us, the deeper we dig ourselves into darkness.
The irony is that while we pile hurts and disappointments over our souls, we HOPE that something will change. In truth, we are something that can change. We can make choices that chip away at obstacles to joy, and work our way back into Light and Freedom.
Hope gives us strength to make those changes, to become responsible for our lives. Grace lets us choose how we'll use our choices for our good and the good of ALL we experience. The power of Hope is Grace. The blessing of Grace is Choice. We expand Hope and Grace with Action.
NOW is your Finest Hour! How will you share it with Hope and Grace?
Hope has wide shoulders, a big back, strong legs.
Hope lifts heavy burdens. When our load of pain
is larger than life, Hope pushes, pulls, drags, digs
at chaos until it finds the chink, widens the crack,
opens the cave, rolls away the rock.
It may take time to follow Hope into the Light, to shake off
dust, wipe cobwebs and confusion from our eyes, cough cares away
and breathe in freedom.
We emerge when we know Hope's true name is Grace in Action.
When we bless their role in our salvation, Hope and Grace
turn to rescue someone else.
Hope will not demand assistance.
(but)
Grace reveals how strong our shoulders are.
