My mother didn't believe in nicknames. When I was 30 years old, a coworker gave me DMarie. I was thrilled! When I shared it with my mother, she looked at me and said, "Your name is DonnaMarie." Each of the names on this page are answers to the prayers my mother whispered when she named me. I am still growing into her hopes.
For years, I stood in classrooms teaching music, language arts, and drama. Later, I enjoyed a career in public service as an expert on resilience, family-centered education, and engagement with culturally diverse communities. At some point, I learned that our point of power is in the Present Moment.
No matter our challenges, ideas, emotions, or experience, NOW is our Finest Hour!
